Frequently Asked Questions

The list contains 75 first names drawn from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds — including European (Alice, Felix, Lena), Latin American (Mateo, Sofia, Pablo), East Asian (Yuki, Wei, Aiko), Middle Eastern (Omar, Yasmine, Fatima), and South Asian (Priya) origins, among others.
Currently the tool generates first names only. A full name generator — combining a random first name with a random surname — is planned as a future addition to the hub.
The list is mixed — it includes names traditionally associated with various genders as well as several that are widely used across genders. No gender label is attached to results, leaving interpretation to the user.
Writers use it to name fictional characters quickly. Game designers use it for NPCs. Teachers use it to assign anonymous roles. Parents use it for baby name inspiration. Developers use it to generate realistic placeholder data. Essentially, anywhere a name is needed fast.
Yes. Each generation is completely independent, so repeats are possible but statistically rare with 75 names in the pool. If you want unique names in a sequence, consider the Team Generator, which shuffles names without replacement.
